CHARON bridgelayer

I didn't touch the ZEUS last night.
Instead I continued with the diorama and started working on the bridgelayer.
For this I took an old Dei Greci chassis (from the HEPHAISTOS MLRS), removed the rocket-launcher turret and cunstructed an A-Frame and a bridge.

Both will be transported by the CHARON like this:

The bridge is narrow enough for a Dei Greci vehicle

but at the same time wide enough for a standard Chimera or Russ

It will then be dropped looking like this

I still have to work out the details on the mechanism and stuff, but I'm rather confident.
Cheers
Klaus

  1. Excellent scratchbuilding.
    That is so cool.

Funny thing is, I never see any water on 40k tables that I need to cross...

  3. True :)
Hardly any water on boards to cross - but I'm sure every Krieg soldier would love such a bridge to cross all those trenches :)
Thanks guys - more updates later.
