Since I've been asked several times, here's what I use for casting and moulding:
For the moulds I use this here (freaking expensive stuff, but easy to handle and good results):
Two Component Silicone
http://www.rai-ro.de/english/katalog/seite14e.htm
and for the actual casting:
Cast Resin - light brown
http://www.rai-ro.de/english/katalog/seite15e.htm
Unfortunately it doesn't have a brand, so I don't know if you can get the same stuff somewhere else cheaper. But on the other hand, this Silicone and Resin is very easy to work with, and with a little exercise you get very good results.
I hope this helps you all :)
Cheers

ZEUS super heavy (7)
Well, one hour of sanding, and the two turrets look nice and clean.
And you'll also realize, that the second turret is a mirrored one, as it will be placed on the other side of the ZEUS deck.
Here you can see the steps for the gun mount.
Also I had to create another radar dish. And here you can see how small it really is.
Cheers

ZEUS super heavy (6)
While casting the tracks, I continued with the first Vanquisher turret.
As you can see, the gun is not exactly like the original Vanquisher, but I think it comes close enough :)

Next on the list are some small AA turrets. For this I used two LasGuns from the Sentinels and built them into a small turret. The Turret is equipped with a Radar - looking like the winged skull.
Here it is in the folded down mode:

After doing one side, I also have to do the other, so another Vanquisher and another AA turret. Somehow the cutting wasn't so exact, so I had to do quite some puttying.....
Another project will be some twin heavy stubbers that I'm going to add like on the Gorgons. So I built the first pieces:
Well, and another piece needs t be done, the large track wheels for the ZEUS. Each side will require 3 of them.

So it is time to create another master, and prepare it for casting:

ZEUS super heavy (5)
I completed the second sponson cupola, for right side.
And this is where they will be positioned on the hull sides
Next I worked some more on creating the tracks.
Here's the first try:
Not too bad, a bit WWII Tiger style
But still, not really what I wanted, so here's my second try:
What do you think?
First or second try?
Cheers
