Callidus Assassin (2)

Hey guys,
I had a family weekend so I didn't complete as much as I usually do.
Today is your last chance to vote for a name (currently Eve = 9 vs Ilse = 8 votes).

Anyhow, here you can see the Assassin after I completed the inking. Really dark, as intended.

Then i started to work out the details and highlights. This is after the first highlights with red and green, as well as some Tin Bizz.

Then I worked on the face.
One of the steps was to apply white for the eyes and theeth.

And then clean it all up, with a dark red for the lips and brown for the eyes.

And after some more work, this is the final Callidus Assassin:

I'm not quite sure where I will position her on the diorama base though...

This position looks OK, but then this part of the scene could be too crowded.

Maybe by herself ...

Well, I'm really not sure.

Most likely I will place her on the other side...

Well, I hope you enjoyed my little update on Eve/Ilse.
C&C welcome and appreciated.
Cheers

Callidus Assassin

Well, I started painting the Assassin - looks as if Ilse will be her name (currently 7:5 votes) .

As mentioned I based the non-armoured parts with a very dark red (almost brown), while I based the armoured plates in a dark blue.

I used a dark green for the Neural Shredder's glass pieces, so I can have some flashes and stuff inside.

The two blades on her back are in brown sheafs, while all belts are based in Charadon Granite.

The wires are in Necron Abyss. Purity Seals paper is based in Commando Khaki and the seals itself in Blood Red.

The other non-armour metal parts (like the necklace, brass knuckles etc) are based in Tin Bizz.

So with this completed she will receive several washes of Badab Black with layers of Asurmen Blue (Armour) and Baal Red (non armour) in between. The face will receive washes with Gryphonne Sepia.
I really hope she'll turn out the way I plan it :)
Cheers

Tiger Team (10)

Thanks guys.
Well a rather short update today, as I only worked on Lt.Commander Obersdorf.
So here he is after inking.

And here is the finished model.

And together with the others on the display base.

I hope you like it.
Next up will be the Assassin (please remember to vote for a name).
I think I will use a very dark red for the non-armour parts and a real dark blue for the armor. Then some drybrushing with Boltgun and further inking with Badab Black and Azurmen Blue - the idea is to have the armour look kind of blue-ish jet-black, and everything else in a deep dark red...
...well that's the plan at least :)

Tiger Team (9)

Thanks guys.
Well having an Assassin that's half way through a morph would really be a coooooooool project.
**mental note taken**

For right now I will try to go with a kind of blue-ish black as well as some dull black...I'm not sure if any camo would really work, as it would have to be the Dencara red-ish type for the Dencara (Marsian) landscape...I'll have to see how it turns out.
So two votes for Ilse, huh?

@Jason - well I already started some Sisters of Battle - check out some of the images (towards teh bottom of the linked post) for the memebrs of the Order of the Golden Bolter :)

OK, I continued the painting of the other members and here you can see Lt.Commander Obersdorf with his base paints applied.

Since he's on deck and not in the field, he'll have some brass, silver, and gold.

So here he is, right before receiving his first coat of Devlan Mud.

Speaking of Devlan Mud, here is Commander Hammerfeld right after two coats of Devlan Mud and some spots of Grysiphone Sepia.

And this is now the finished paintjob, with details and highlights applied - since he's a Special Forces member, ready of a deep-incursion deployment I wanted him rather dark and dull.

And finally together with Odoi and Marks on the diorama base.

Well, that's it for today.
I hope you like the progress.
Cheers
Klaus
