Defense of Xantium (22)

Wow, I'm already using 71% of my available image space - with this 216th post, I use 728 MB for images - more a picture book than a blog - hehe

Well, I continued with da Boss and his mega armour.
Here you can see I added a cross-hairs sight, as well as I started with his Dakka arm.

Then I added a visor over the helmet, as well as a lot of extra armour to the arm, plus some details to the guns.

I'm not sure what the glyph over the barrel of the central gun means, but I'm sure the Mek had some kind of intention *snicker*

Ah, yes, ammo

Looks like plenty (well most likely just enough for one extended burst, but talk about reality in 40K)

Then I started to work on da killy claw.

Looks like he grabbed a not-so-fortunate Beeky.

Still needs a lot of cleanup and detailing.

Another Gretchin - the Little Drummer Boy.

Well, I know that it would make me aggressive to have this little pain in the neck on my neck banging his war drum all the time.

I would probably feel like "the Master" in the Doctor Who series.

Boom Boom Bang, Boom Boom Bang...

Vagancia: Here is a position shot.
Yes, now it is croweded (like on one of the very first Codex covers), but the Boss and da Spida fit together nicely.

Well, only the final, painted piece will tell I guess.

I hope you like it.
C&C welcome and apreciated.
Cheers

Defense of Xantium (21)

Thanks guys,
I really apreciate your positive feedback - it's the fuel that keeps my motor running :)

Here are some final shots of the Spida on the board

And here you can see the area in the lower right corner, that still awaits its actor...

And these are the first images of just that actor...any guess?

...maybe formt the side,...

...or the rear?

Yeah, with the head on :)
It's my Waaagh-Boss in his Mega-Armour...at least the start of it.

The beginning of his legs.

Etra stompy bootz (but still skinny legs).

In pose.

And with armour on the legs.

I will try to have his right arm equipped with a extra large claw - maybe even holding a Marine - while his left arm will have some serious Dakka.
That chipping of the armour plates is quite intensive work - at least for my thumb :-P

Oh, and ArchHeretic at The WarSeer Forums asked where all my little projects go.
Well, currently they reside here...

and here.

The Xantium doirama will exactly fit into the display cabinet, but the shelf still needs some cleanup - especially all the cat food needs to move :)
Well, I hope you like todays update - as usual, C&C is welcome and apreciated.
Cheers

Defense of Xantium (20)

Thanks guys - I'm really glad you like my stuff, and if my crazy ideas do inspire you in some way, or are of any other use, than I am a happy little camper :)

Well, the package was really the little set of Gretchins.
So I selected these 3 as my crew for the gun platform.

He will be in a "I don't know what's wrong" pose, so I have to sculpt some hands (or at least big gloves) for him - this is the first raw version.

Position test on the platform.

Time to start the gun.
Big, but not enough Dakka...

...better, but still needs more Dakka...

...ah, this looks like a good amount of Dakka :)
@Fuzzbuket, do you agree?

Connector cables to fire them off in one volley.

On the platform.

:)

And a quick positioning test on the board.

Here you can see, why the gun ain't working :-P

Chassis, cockpit, platform and gun together...

Then I added some more details, armour plates and rivets.

And a final go-around of the Spida

Well, I think this completes this little piece of the diorama :)
I hope you like it.
Cheers
